Gentlemen, I purchased a GM crate engine 383/425. The recommended intake is a maximum effort i.e. very high rpm manifold ( one is a weind stealth and the other is the same thing only marketed by GM at a higher price ). Although I love owning and using horsepower, this engine will be street driven, not drag raced. Am I right in thinking that the Air Gap would be a better choice for more torque between 1000 and 5000 rpm and sacrafice the extreme high end hp ( you know, like 7000 )? Which intake? Opinons, especially with rationale, very much appreciated. R.B.

that has he fast burn heads, correct?
if so, get a Vortec style intake for it. a regular intake may not seal the top of the ports.
i'd say to get the RPM intake for it, but i've also heard and read that the GMPP "eliminator" single plane intake is a pretty good all around intake for what it is.
