What size wire is needed for the 12vol to the HEI?

and you'll need to use a relay if your factory ignition switch can't flow enough juice, the hei will spit and sputter at higher rpms if ther isn't enough power going to it--the same happens with a weak battery and charging system.

The average HEI draws about 4 amps, the high performance modules can draw up to 8 amps. If your HEI is less than 11 feet from the supply, 14 gauge wire will provide all the current you need with either module.
