Title said most of it. How hard is it to replace the wing window rubber and the window felts on my 68 El Camino? Do I just take the door panels off and go at it? Thanks guys, Brett

i tried it, i took my panels off,. took the handle for wing window out, and unbolted all the little stuff, your gonna need a rivet gun to reattach the wing window to the door, like by the rail on the outside of the door. i did one in day, taking my time, but somehow, when i reassemble everything, there was a gap between the outside of the door and the new rubber, i still have to fix it, but its not super hard to do, just make sure you do it right! good luck!

i say gas prices are gonna bite all summer........i'll want to control my '65 drivin'..., but don't think i can...damn them all !!!!!....baawwaahhaa...oh, sorry.....buy a quality kit, shop around....the renovation may test your frustration level, don't know about your '68 ...only my '65...was a pain....seemed the vent rubber is just ever so slighty not quite the perfect correct repop fit, but my originals were toast, so what ya gonna do...note the position of any vent window frame adjusting nuts/mounts before removal....some may be sneaky or hidden...when you get the frame loose, it will still probably not want to come out of the door, thats when the real fun begins....i sure don't wanna go back there anytime soon !!!...g.

yeah it sucks getting the frame out of the door, its feels like your gonna break something. you might wanna spary paint where the nuts and bolts are now that way you can put them right back where they where when you finish.
