: Centerlink problems

I have a centerlink on a 65 Chevelle that the stud that fits into the pitman arm is too small. I think I have a centerlink for a manual steering car, but I have a power steering box. My question is will a manual steering pitman arm have a smaller hole for the centerlink to mount in? And will it bolt up to the power box?

I have also tossed around the idea of using the conversion steering box from Jegs (a saginaw 525 manual box and pitman arm) to put in there. I want to go to a manual box but have been worried about the steering effort. It can't be any harder than the power box with no assist. Anyone running a manual box that can comment on how it drives?

I don't know about a 65, but the 64 Chevelles had two different center links.

I know it is the same way with the 65's, only problem is the centerlink is over a year old so I can't return it. Should have checked it earlier I guess, but now i'm trying to fix my little oversight as cheaply as possible. As an aside, I don't want power steering, if that clears up what i'm trying to do.

Thanks
