does anyone have a web site that talks about engines like the 4800 in my mom's GMC 1/2 ton? I'm looking to give that thing some punch. I have already put on a good muffler and re routing the coolant flow around the throttle instead of through it and now it will spin the tires without loading the converter graemlins/hurray.gif now what other cheap tricks do yall know of?

attack the "dirty" side of the air cleaner box with a holwsaw, and replace any baffles between the air cleaner and throttle body with straight tubing. K&N air filter might be worth something, as well.
of course, tell Mom her mpg will go up before doing anything..

what about that hangy thing on the intake tube? should I lop that off too?
