i found a complete vin punched in the trunk of my 69ss conv.
i was removing some paint and sealer and there it was. never seen anyone els say something about this.

no i think it came to sweden from usa in 1978.
and know it came to norway in 1987 . im the 2nd owner in norway.

Interesting, but highly unlikely that was a factory done stamping. I don't believe my convertible has the 136679 stamped like earlier cars recieved. I do know full quarters were likely never installed. Thanks for sharing. Likely someone did it so it could be more easily identified in the event it was stolen.

I too doubt it was done at the factory.
maybe it was a requirement when bringing it into Sweden.
I stamped the VIN in several different places on my car.
