Are these cushions necessary between the top of the reat spring and the frame?

I took mine out. Seem to be fine so far. I did it when I cut the springs in the back slightly, figured it would lower it another 1/4".

I think they're supposed to take out a little road noise ? I've never bothered with them.

I had a problem with the spring rubbing away at the metal in the top of the buckets.

This was exactly my concern.

They are only there for the road noise. I use Energy Suspension coil spring isolators instead. =p
