Im having my 71 454 SS chevelle cowl induction motor rebuilt and would like any suggestions, tips, to do's and not to do's on this process any info is greatly appriciated!

Is the focus on trying to keep it stock or is your intention to modify it? Is it a LS-5 or LS-6?

also, how much do you want to spend? there's a million ways to do it, just need to know what the intent is with the car, and the budget.

Im new to the muscle car thing so im a little ignorant to the some term, but around $2000 and just to make it fast enough to take the average street racer

spice it up with a new cam, maybe a little head work and some new gears. What tranny does it have?
