Fellow chevelle owners,
I have a 1970 Elky that is my everyday driver. Just in the past year I have driven it from one coast to the other and back again. I will be leaving Missouri in June, go to Texas for a couple of weeks then out to San Diego.
I have read all of the threads on here about Hagerty and the such, but this is not my situation. My car is not in a garage all of the time and I put 2500 miles on it in less than a month and although I do have another car, it stays at home and my Elky gets the nod for everyday use. So if any of the collectable car insurance companies come to your mind, don' go there. I need just regular ole' collision and comp. for 1970 Chevy and I can not find any one to give it to me.
Any suggestions on how I could go about finding just a thing? My past thinking was that I carry Liability and hope it is the other drivers fault. If it is my fault, my Liabilty insurance will take care of his car and I take what money I have saved by not making payments on a new $50,000 sports car and fix mine. My thinking has changed. I am sinking abour 20k worth of drive train in it next month and want to protect it a little better.
Again, sorry for the new Insurance thread but the others alway veer'd to Hagerty and the other collectable insurance companies and how great they were. However, they would restrict the usage so much on my favorite toy that it will not fit my needs. Any discussion would be appreciated.
