Getting ready to pull radio and heater control assembly out of 67 Chevelle. Radio needs work and have rebuilt heater control assembly to replace old one with. When dash pad is removed will the rest of the top of dash come with it? Any suggestions as what to pull off to get at these items and any other advice appreciated.

Dash comes out with the little screws under the top edge and the bolts on the bottom of the dash. Column will need to be dropped but not removed. The pad will stay as the dash face comes loose. Do a search on 66 or 67 dash removal.

Maybe its not the right way, but I removed and replaced the heater control and radio without removing the dash. While that method is awkward, it does work.
