Put a deep pan on my 700r4, but the filter was a standard one. Will this be a problem??

On my TH400 with a factory deep pan, there is a plastic extension tube that drops the filter down so that its right near the pan. i guess to keep it from cavitating? I have not seen these for a 700... yet.

I have been told there is a truck filter that extends deeper.

Go to your Chevy dealer and see what they have for a 4L60E, probably from a heavier truck.

You need a filter for a 4x4 with a deep pan. Did the manufacturer of the pan suggest a part number ?

No matter what pan is use you can still use the stock dipstick and filter. The fluid level will still need to be the standard height in pan. You get a 2qt larger pan,, you will need to add an additional 2qts to total the amount.
If your stock dipstick says it is full then the fluid in the pan will still be the stock height at filter.

Was worried about the filter falling out of the 'hole' into the bottom of the pan. Pan was an ebay special, did not come with any extensions. Pan didn't have any raised area under the filter to support it.
