I found a place that has 68-72 full Elky quarters but it's going to be about $1000 shipped to my door. No ETA from dynacorn.

Order them? or wait........

That's like what $150 for shipping? Seems like the going rate for me. I was planning on paying at least $800 for mine, then picking them up.

Ya, they said $410 each + tax + $150 shipping(no matter how much you order) I was ready to order from Tamraz on ebay ($319) but they don't have any and no ETA from Dynacorn.

I might have to just do it .....

I have two GM quarters in the boxes. They don't weigh all that much but they are some bulky. Shipping will be expensive just for the size alone. For anything big, I always check with my GM dealer first, just in case they still stock the stuff. One way to avoid big shipping costs.

I just shipped fenders using greyhound. They didnt even measure the box, just weighed it. Cost me $60 bucks for just one fender all the way across the country.

Did you try www.thepartsplaceinc.com they always seem to have a good price.

Man as many Caminos as there are in California you would think they would be more plentiful. Have you exhausted all other suppliers like OPG, National Parts Depot and the lot? I have seen a pair of GM ones sell for $1200-1500 on e-bay and they are always in Cali and here I am in Ohio. Darn

I have a 70'chevelle... and when I purchased qrt replacements, I contacted a semi local goodmark dealer, placed the order and when they came drove out to pick them up. Cost me the price of the replacements and $15 for gas...

Always try looking local, even if its 40-80miles away. Will be cheaper to pickup, then having to deal with shipping. Even though the parts can be boxed pretty well (goodmark uses heavy duty boxing too!) things can get bumped and bruised during transfer. It would be horrible to have something shipped and have it arrived bent. That has happened to me two times with OPGI, items came mangled and they wouldn't reship so I had to make a claim with UPS.

Ok.. that was a long ramble, so in short, always try looking local (even at a small distance) first!

K.. done.

If you know anyone with a business that has a loading dock, check into having them delivered there. Might also want to check into whether that person has shipping contracts that would get you a better deal. I bought two quarters in January, had them shipped to my buddies manufacturing business and used his shipper and it saved me about $90 on freight. Well worth a couple phone calls.

Any business that is a Goodmark distributor has free shipping for their parts. Apparently, Goodmark trucks make a weely route to restock their distributors. I had been been paying big shipping costs for body panels until I found this out. Often times the actual price is even less than the list price in the catalog.

No, it depends on the size of their order on the free shipping.
I have a friend that is a Goodmark dealer.

I might check Ground Up and see if they have any. All the local places will be out of stock for over a month or possibly longer.

I had my 1/4's shipped by truck to my step mom's beauty shop and I was there when they came in. It saved me a lot of money doing it that way.

it'll be cheaper shipping if it's ship to a biz with a dock..
my quarter was 150 to home
50 to my work..

reason.
the trucking comp.
will only need to try to deliver once..
your house ,, no one home..
they might have to try a few time..

Hmmm that's seems pretty dumb. With cell phones today, all they have to do is call before a delivery. No reason why it should cost more.

It's about $50 more for shipping to the house. I'm going to wait for now. I have lots of other things to keep me busy for a month or longer. Epoxy the inside panel, bed panel, floors, etc. It's only been 5 years since it's been sitting. A few months ain't gonna kill me.
