Hi there,
I have asked around a few places and seem to get different answers every time I ask someone. I am hoping that someone here has the right one for me. I have a 66 Chevelle from Canada. I hear that the headliner trim is rubber. I have chrome. Could anyone tell me which one is right?
Thanks.....

I have done some with black plastic/rubber trim, but never chrome. Then again with it being built in Canada there is no telling.
Don't know if that helped you any at all,but all my books are showing black trim.

Then when you see them, have you seen any of those black pieces that go up front by the windshield? Its about 3-4" I think. I do know they are black.
Thanks again......

There is a plastic piece of trim that goes along the top of the front windshield. It is interior color so on my car they are lt blue. Should be the same piece of trim on the top of the rear window also. They sell repops of it and it comes in black.

You dont say which model you have of 66 Chevelle but if built in Canada and is a Malibu or Malibu SS vin 136 the trim ( windlace) is exactly the same as US built 136 Malibus ...... no cdn cars had the alum trim like 138 US cars
While we are on the subject of 66 Malibu headliners...
My car has nothing in there except some wire headliner bows.
I think I have some side trim in the trunk. Same question: black plastic or chrome/shiny metal? I think I have one or some of both...
Does this car have some flat steel L-shaped pieces that go at the sides of the rear window for the headliner to attach to?
I went to a trim shop, and he was not sure I had enough parts for him to install a headliner kit.
Thanks.
