(yep I asked this same question in the ElCamino forum)

Has anyone bought and used the reproduction drip rails for these cars???
How do they fit and look?

Also---is there any "special" trick to removing the original with out doing any damage???-----The originals are good-I just don't wanna damage them if I can avoid it.

I am getting ready to send the car off to the body shop for windshield/cowl repair and thought it would be good to go ahead and remove the rails to reseal the roof (no cancer up there :beers: )

Reproduction are soft and will give to fit. Start at the top, it has to be right, and install to the rear down.
Removal, start at the bottom rear, I have used a old style bottle opener with tape on the tabs. Gently pry off from the bottom edge a little at a time along as you go, then back up and pry a little more. Don`t try to pry it off in one spot. Just keep working it as you go and it will come off with out much distortion.

Another method it to sit in the car and set a small block of wood on the lower edge of the trim and knock it loose with a light hammer. You want to reuse your originals... believe me.
