FYI, The AMVETS in Franklin KY have made arrangements to have the Traveling Wall in town this weekend. If anyone is interested let me know and I can help w/directions and such. My Dad was there last night and said it was really a "must see". They are setting up some Viet-Nam memorabilia for all to see.

I've seen it twice, and been to the "real" one as well... it is definitely worth seeing, but be prepared for a flood of emotions. I had a hard time keeping my composure around my mom and grandparents mourning the uncle I never had the chance to meet. :( Heck, I'm getting teary-eyed just thinking about it now.

I've been to the Wall about 10 times and it's truly an honor to see it. The CHANGING OF THE GUARD at the TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER is a site to see as well. I've got to hand it to the Army on that duty, they are truly amazing.

If you ever have the chance, go see the WALL, you will never regret it. I got the name of my mom's first husband off the wall for her and she cried like a baby.

I want to go to the real Wall eventually. I have a lot of good buddys and a few relatives on there. Three years ago the traveling wall came here. I had a real hard time making myself go. I finally did late one evening. It was the first time I let go since 72'. I cried like a baby. I believe it was a great burdon that was lifted that day and the begining of the healing.:)
