when I go to sell a dirtbike thats been running great since I fixed it up. Will not start, when a guy comes over to look at it?
When I drive 140 miles round trip after work to get my trike at my folks house to trade for a 56 chevy body, it fires up when I pull it out of the truck and drive it into the guys back yard, then REFUSES to start!!!
Sorry just ranting. Jim

Because in a previous life, you were evil, and Karma is catching up to you.
At least I think that's what is happening to me.

what really gets me is the bike is really nice. its a 78 enduro 80 cc yamaha. I would say its a survivor type condition. Im selling it cheap because I just want to get set of heads for my car. I got it real cheap 175 bucks for a GT 80 and a DT 100 both in the same shape, Im shooting for 250 each, But when this guy leaves I cleaned the original plug and of coarse if fires off and runs great! maybe its just telling me to keep it. Jim
What goes around comes around. Very, "Call Me Earl" karma.
I once bought a 66 Mustang on a short offer (1/2) based on whether the guy could start it like it said in the ad. I didn't really care if it did, because it definitely was the carb, but he burned the starter up and killed the battery trying.
So, I got it for 1/2 what he asked....$20 bucks for a starter/solenoid, charged the battery, played with the carb and drove it off later that day after he went to work.
Recently I wasted an hour trying to get a $100 mini bike to start for a guy I advertised......I didn't budge on that one, but I should have, since I won't get that hour back...... :(

I'll tell you definetly Karma. I had another guy call me on the bikes. This guy really wants it because its a survivor type bike. hes got a couple of ATCs I took one of the bikes over today, and we traded. We're suppose to trade the other sunday afternoon. Id rather have a ATCs that need work than the 500 for the bikes. Best part the trikes are last year made. One may need tranny work, the other rebuild the rear axle. Im either going to make one nice one out of the two, or restore both. Jim

The guy that I built the 69 Camaro for had that problem. I got it all together, drove it around for an hour and parked it. Ok, it's ready to get picked up. It runs great! I left a few days afterward to come to Iraq. He is supposed to pick it up on Monday because he finally got it running. I guess I ran it out of gas becuase it started for a minute and then shut off for him. It took him two months to figure it out. I guess I know who fouled it up in the first place, now. Some people just shouldn't own muscle cars!
P.S. The gas gauge didn't work, it always reads 1/4 tank. That's one of the bugs I told him about when I said it was running.
