I'm new to classic cars, I just got my 71 Chevelle today and i have a limited knowledge of my dad's 64 vette.
Is there any way to install an am/fm radio cd changer thing that would be hidden from view? Maybe it's just wishful thinking.
If it were to happen would i need to get new speakers, and put them in a different back board, or wherever the other speakers are.
Would this modification kill the value of the car? Would it kill my ability to show the car? I'm a total noob.
On a different topic, what kind of literature is out there about these chevelles?

Lots of books available here http://www.chevelles.com/reviews/
You can buy housings specifically designed to install a CD tuner in the glove box or under the dash or even under the seat.
6 x 9 speakers will bolt perfectly under the package tray and with OEM style metal covers mounted on top ?
it will almost look factory.

You can't go wrong with any of the well known brands like Alpine, Kenwood, Sony, Pioneer etc.
with about 25 - 50 watt ouput.
Add a 100 x 100 watt rms amp if you want ear bleeding volume !
A good pair of 2 way Japanese made 6x9s won't cost the earth and sound great in the back tray.

CDs? You mean those old shiny round things people used to use!? Just get an iPod that holds music from 500 cds. You can connect an iPod to almost any stereo now, stick the cd changer in the garage with all the other classic parts! :D

Even better, why didn't I think of that ? :clonk:buy a CD/mp3 tuner that has an mp3 input or an FM transmitter for your ipod
