I've been thinking out some power adding options for my 350. I'm not sure what compression it currently runs, but i'm wondering what is compression is good for a single carb 171 mini blower.

Thanks,

Dan

Under 9 to 1. Also, Wieand can advise properly. Also depends on cam. Big cam can bleed off some compression.

Yeah, 8.5 sounds like a good compromise. As well, if you have dog compression, you can run more pulley. It's all in the balance.

we're running about 7.9:1 BBC 427 and 6-71 no intercooler on 94 octane.

Not trying to highjack your post but would a mild 350 with 8:75:1 compression work with a Weiand 6-71 blower and 93 octane?

Quick answer - Yes. But you'll have to keep the boost down to around 5-8 lbs.
