Never having done anything close to this I need some help.

I am about to take on replacing the floor and trunk pans.

Have purchased full length r+l side pans, front and middle braces, and a 3 piece trunk set +braces.

So here is my first of many questions.
Do I need to drill out the spot welds along the brace as most of you seem to do? My plan was/is to run a sawsall along the edge of the brace. Then take that brace out. Replace it and move onto the next. Then when both are in take out the old floor, and replace the pans.
The trunk I do not think is as important to try and keep rigid like the front. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks

I am doing mine now and almost finished with the floors, braces, inner rockers, lower door pillar’s (a big job but I am having fun doing it). I don't think you’re going to get the sawsaw between the metal without bending blades. I used the sawsaw to cut out the floor and most of the braces. I then went back with a grinder and cut off wheel until I bought my plasma cutter ;-) to remove the remaining metal. I also had to completely rebuild my lower inner door pillars as both sides were completely rusted. I had to fab all the metal as my lower fender mounts were gone :-0. The job is coming along nicely but I would have never attempted to do this without this boards help. I am so glad I didn't give my car to someone else to paint as they would have never done the amount of work I am doing to it now. At least not for less than $10 ~$15K. If you want I can send you some pictures but I'm not sure how large they are so email limits might be a factor.
