Hey guys, just thought I'd share an experience with people that will understand.

I've been away from TC for a while working on the never ending project.
It's been down a while undergoing a motor swap!

I dropped a GMPP 454 HO in the car with tons of help from my brother Daves70.

The old motor was a 307 that I would always beat the crap out of when I took a spin.

I 'll tell ya, I'd never driven a big block car, and I guess I am a wimp because it scared me silly! You guys with the 496's, 540's, and 572's are absolutely insane. ;-)

I'm back to loving my '72.
I know it is not the most exciting thread, but in all of my 33 years of life, I have never sat behind the wheel of so much power!

I haven't driven my car since June of '05, and it's shaping up to go for a first test ride at the end of this week. It is so incredible to see a car go from a completely bare frame to a working stereo and lights and wipers and such. It truely is a feeling of accomplishment. I have very little left to do, break the new cam in tuesday night and hang the front sheetmetal and various little items and it's ready to start making small trips and finding out how it is.:hurray:
