Chris,

Finally going to get some real info. Unless something changes - going to Maple Grove for the Geezers at the Grove event. Might as well run the Chevelle for a baseline.

I honestly don't expect to break a 13.0 on street radials, probably a good thing anyway. I do not have a driveshaft loop installed. Will finish installing a rad. catch can tonight.

I have already played with the timing - slowed down the advance to start about 800 and finish at 2800 to stabilize the idle and kill some bottum and went to the medium sec. spring. These mods seem to help. I will do the upper shock trick. Only other thing I was debating was adding some ballast over the right rear - actually thinking of placing 50 - 100 lbs of wt.plates under the spare tire. The car tends to pull to the left, telling me that I am getting less bite on the right. Haven;t ran it with the loose shocks so can't comment on whether that will make any difference or not, so for now I will just set both at the same height.

Other than drag radials - which are out of the question for now, any other thing you can think of will be helpful. I have been running the rear radials at 28PSI, I can't see any lower pressure making a difference in this kind of tire.

Looking forward to it, have been through a dozen street cars, but haven't actually raced in 20 years.

Joe,thats great news
I'm sure you'll enjoy it.I'll be looking forward to your results.
Since you're running street radials,I'll guess low 13's as well.Probably around 103-104 MPH
