Is anyone still meeting there prior to the show on the 20th?

I know Brett85 will be there. Registration starts at 9:00. It will take about 20 minutes to get there. I will be there around 7:30 for breakfast and figure we'll be on the road around 8:15-8:30. Let me know if you all think this will work and who else will be there...

The one in Everett. The Boeeing exit # 189. You will see it from the freeway on your right as you are exiting. It is right next to some little casino.

7:30 sounds good to me. I don't know where I'm going but I think I can find exit 189. Can you register on arrival?

RAMBO
May 6th, 07, 11:01 PM
Mark- Yes, its really informal- you can pre-register if you want, but at the gate is fine too.

cross your fingers for no rain! (and for my car to be done!) ;)

Brett,

Whatcha mean, can't go drinking then get up and be somewhere at 7:30?
Gee, us Army guys (to include Retirees) often go for a night out, drag ourselves home w/o DWI, get up well before 0600, hold formation at 0630, then go run 3-5 miles after lots of fun exercises.

If I don't come up SAT 19th, I'll meet you guys for bkfst.
If I'm up on the 19th, I'll crash very near to the show location......

Last year, great weather until 1pm then the clouds gathered. By 3pm, end of show, huge downpour.

Can't wait to see it with the top and glass in.

Awesome! I'm sure it will be nice to get both things taken care of.

Does this mean you won't be wearing your WWI leather flight helmet, goggles, and scarf when you take her out? :p

Well it looks like theres about 5 of us meeting up for breakfast. I think we got 2 Elky's and 3 Chevelles. That should make for a nice looking caravan.
So far there's: Brett, Bruce, Mark, George and myself...Anyone else I forgot??? Mike, Pete, lincoln31 and Ben. We going to see any of you at the Buzz???

I'd really like to make it there. Long way for me. I'd probably trailer it closer, maybe even unload at Buzz Inn and drive from there if there is a parking lot where I could leave the trailer with out trouble. I'd probably give myself 3 1/2 hours to get there by 0730. I'm not familiar with that area at all so I'd want follow someone to the show. Just want to meet up with some TC guys, nobody this far west I guess but me:noway: .

If i have my car back from paint, i will meet you guys there and we can all cruise in together... If i don't have my car- i'll make an appearance at the show a little later on :)

Fingers crossed for having the car back by then! I had a report from the painter tonight- i'm hearing very good things, but it will definitely be close weather it is done by next friday or not....
I'm told it will have the black lower section sprayed tomorrow afternoon- then monday will be masking for my stripes and spraying color... That leaves 4 days for them to wetsand & polish it... Tight schedule, but they might just make it. (important to note that they don't know that i'd 'like' it back by next friday- they are just moving fast enough that it might happen)

Mike- We probably won't be leaving the Buzz until closer to 8:15- 8:30 if that helps. I live 5 minutes from the Buzz Inn and you could leave your trailer at my house.

Mike,

What time do you think you'll pass FT Lewis? I have to go through post and can meet you along the 5 and follow you up to the Buzz Inn. I only have to leave 2hrs prior!

Frank,
It would be great if I could leave the tow rig at your place. Getting up early is no big deal to me so I'd like to get there by 0730 with time to eat.
Mark, I'm thinking 0530 in order to be up there by 0730, so that should make for an easy hookup. Just look for thishttp://www.chevelles.com/showroom/data/500/medium/At-the_-track_001.jpg
I'll be borrowing momma's truck:D .

IF things work out w/Wifey and her care, I'd like to convoy.
Think meeting at the McDonald's I-5 at I-512 north of Ft Lewis and McChord is probably convenient for most. Get some coffee for the trip North.
In order to make the Bkfst at 0730, means gather btwn 0600 and 0615. Should make the run from there to Everett in 1hr 15 min.....

Just think, you guys might be able to keep up as I'll have a load of 454 stuff in my cargo area.

Gents,

Breakfast:
We left the west side of Lakewood 15 min from the freeway and made it all the way to SP in 1:45.

Today's So Sound mini event:
Just back to work...."gotago" just came by my office with his sharp 69 SS Chevelle. I got the tour of the car, very very nice indeed. Love the blk vinyl top, nice trunk. We then went for a very well behaved jaunt, about ten minutes, on post. This is a very solid, quality car that he has. I like it! This is actually my first ride in a 69 SS. Can't wait to see Frank's and Darryl's 1969 rigs.

Mike,

No problem, I'll be there and if we hook up with George it will be quite a show. If that's a CTD, I may have problems keeping up!! I have the exact same truck except I have stock wheels and my cap is an above cab. Probably borrow a similiar trailer to go to Bremerton on the 2d.

That sounds good Frank. Mark, I think George's idea of meeting at the McD's at exit 127 is a good idea. Sounds like I'm too early thinking that I need to be going by Ft. Lewis at 0530:clonk: We just need to keep talking to make it happen.

68 Chevelle didn't get the new windshield today. Guy called and was really busy today. Will deliver to his location 1 mile from my house at 9:00 AM tomorrow to get it done. I CAN"T WAIT.

Another bonus: As of today the Welfare Nova now has tabs so It's kinda streetable now. ;)

I did pick up my 29 ft free motorhome from getting new exhaust today. My wife laughed as I fired it up and she said "I'm not surprised". It has 2 1/2 inch exhaust with a cross over spilling into two chamber flowmasters with 3" pipes exiting out the sides by the rear wheels. Now it sounds like a 454 should sound.
Price:$$$yet another trade deal. Built my buddy a set of SBC heads for his blown 350. I love trades.

Loader1,

I do think 0530 hrs passing Ft Lewis would give you maximum wiggle room. Plenty early...guess the Buzz Inn has good chow! Everett is quite a bit short of Arlington.
This would put you at the Exit 127 Mickey-Deeeeee's 10 minutes later.
Maybe revise to 0545 for coffee, 0600 SP.

Darryl,
Go on, rub it in as host. Think you'll sleep-in until the show starts.
I'm gonna talk to my daughter Jessica about playing nurse for wifey SUN.
Sorry 'bout the 68 Chevelle not being done,,,,the newer/larger motorhome sounds cool
