I've been reading the threads on this site 'after' installing a new Voodoo. It went in a 406 with 9.2:1 compression, stock ramhorn exhaust, 64cc heads (nothing fancy, but all new stuff & ported), 4-speed, 3100 lbs. Selected cam for torque. No plans for the strip. Anyway it's the Voodoo 213/219 @.050 and .454/.468 lift. Car won't be running for several more weeks, so do know what to expect. Was this a good choice for a 406?

The exact same cam I installed today on my 9.5 CR, Vortec headed 350. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
It'll be running by Wed or Thur.
Added a mild stall, replaced the PG with a TH350, 1 5/8" headers/dual 2 1/2" full exhaust, HEI, RPM intake and a 670 Avenger at the same time. Car has a 3.08 10 bolt.
Motor goes in the '67...

which cam is it exactly? the 262, 268, 276?
I'm up in teh air between the 268 and 276 for my 383 shortblock, i love a rough sounding idle, but i dont want to sacrifice any torque. Thats the only thing i think ill ever miss about this performer rpm cam, the sound.

ah, yeah that makes tons of low end torque, you just sacrifice upper rpm horsepower though.

Sounds good. Now I can't wait to get the car back together. Hey UDHarold, tell 'em to put a little more assembly lube in the box. graemlins/beers.gif
