I am currently taking off my fenders to get down and dirty in the engine compartment.
I took the fenderwells out, but the bolts on the bottom of the fenders won't come out. They just spin. How are you supposed to get them out? I luckily got the driver's side off. Help me!! And once you get them out, how are you supposed to put them back in if you can't even get to the back of bottom fender. Thanks.

the clip on nuts that are in the body are probably broken, but the bottom holes in the fender are slotted so you should be able to wiggle the fender off even with the bolts still in. Then you can get to the broken nuts, get the bolts out and replace the nuts with new ones.

The same thing happened to my '68. I grabbed the heads of the bolts with some vise grips and cut them off with a small die grinder. A Dremel would probably work too, might just take a little longer.
