where can you purchase the fittings to screw into the pump to adapt to a 3/8" line? I have given the an fittings to friends with race cars and just want to run 2 3/8" lines to make it look somewhat stock. thanx mike

NAPA stores will have what you need. Just take the pump and line down and fit them up.

On a side note how much will a 170 gph pump like the carter be able to supply via the stock line?

I ran 11.30's with a 468 with the stock 3/8 line and then -6 to the carb

What were the name of those fittings? I also want to change the inlet to an -8 but I bought some 3/8NPT to -8AN and they don't fit. Somebody told me they were boss/AN fittings but I haven't been to NAPA. The local speed shop doesn't know what it needs.

Take a 45* flare fitting and cut the flare off.

O-ring Boss fitting, they are definetly not pipe thread. I have also used the 45 degree cut off the flare method as well.

When I first installed the Carter I adapted it to -6 (3/8) line as well. I called earls and they said I needed a Straight Cut fuel pump fitting, However they recommended a -10 to -6 reducer fitting so that is what I went with.

Are you trying to use a push on barb fitting and rubber hose to look stock or do you want to use -6 braided line?
