i am debating to pull out the factory ac in my 66 el co. any pics or suggestions on this? any pics of yours to see what i am looking forward too? is it a difficult transaction? thanks for any help.

No such thing as an A/C delete plate. A/C was an option, not std equipment. There was a factory heater delete option (since the heater was std equipment) and there's a cover plate for the control assembly for those. The hole in the dash for the A/C-heater controls is larger than just the hole for just the heater control so even an OEM style plate won't fill the gap; you'll need to make one.

These guys (http://www.acdelete.com/pages/64-7_A-Body.htm) make what they call a 'delete' plate for the firewall if that's what you're after. Still a misnomer in my opinion but probably good for marketing and it's easy to remember.

We should trade cars! I'm trying to do the exact opposite to my 66 elky. :)

I threw all the factory AC stuff in the trash where it belongs. Eventually I may throw a Vintage air system on, we'll see. firewall was just welded up. Kept the top vent and welded a 1" Lip on it in case I ge thte urge for a Yunick type airbox.
