: Which color should i paint my sumped gas tank?
cody Mar 12th, 04, 11:17 PM I just finished welding on a Sump on my stock fuel tank, it came out pretty nice and didn't leak at all. I am wondering what color would look nice for the tank, i am either thinking Eastwoods Zinc Tone which is silver, or just plain black. ANyone have any pictures of what their tank looks like installed from the back? I was thinking it would look nice silver but in the car it might be too much of a contrast and look funny?

GRN69CHV Mar 13th, 04, 7:12 AM I have painted my last 2 tanks with Rustoleum Brand Silver "Hammertone". It gives the tank a Nice Metallic look and has held up well.

GRN69CHV Mar 14th, 04, 3:00 PM Safety yellow - that's good. Funny thing though, I can remember way back when that was what guys actually did. Tank, rear, brake drums { brake drums actually looked kinda kool though behind some vintage Cragars}.
