Something's wrong b/c the original General Lee was made when, back in the late '70's to early '80's!!

So I don't care what John say's it is, It AIN'T the #1 REAL General Lee to me!!

But what do I know.

I'd call it an original John S. General Lee CLONE!!!

I would be willing to bet that the high bidder never pays for the car reguardless of where the bidding ends. Too many dumbazzes bidding just because they can. Look at the bids that have been canceled.

I was just looking on Ebay and saw a link on the main page to one of the original Chargers from the TV show Dukes of Hazzard. The car has a 511 Crate motor in it that produces 725hp which is nice, but the bid on the car is already over two million dollars! Wow. Check this out.

some of the reason is that it's owned by John Schneider (Bo Duke)

This car was discussed before. It has jumped in price quite a bit. Evidently someone is interested in the celebrity status.

there is no reason for this car to be at 2 mil. it isn't an original g.l. and if you read the actual description, it has nothing in there to warrant the bids. it is a very nice, late model remake, with some high end pieces. he has his bikes done at a friend of mines shop, i've seen the car, and though very nice, even the mopar guys agreed, the car has nothing original on it, and has no real history to warrant big $. very nice, killer engine, great suspension, lots of $ invested, but a #4 of 4, built in 97 shouldn't be bringing $2 mil.

something is screwy, there isn't any way this car should be even a 1/10th of what it is. maybe if it were one of the original cars used in the show, but this one was done up recently. even if it were one used in the show, 2.6M??? what gives?

Q: SO YOU ARE THE BO DUKE (JOHN) HIMSELF SELLING THIS CAR? May-03-07
A: Yes. My assistant is handling the auction, but I am selling this myself.

That could have something to do with it. But, it's up to $9,900,100.00 now. WOW, no car is worth that IMO. But, someone will buy it.

I saw a good looking 66 Chevelle in the pic of the car waiting to race on the road course,I would just as soon have it.but on the other hand this is the General Lee owned by Bo Duke even though its not the original,I would still take it.

Wow, last I checked it was at 5 mil!

Wasn't there a whole gang of these cars made? I heard they were crashing them on the show as fast as they were making them. I guess this one is worth that much because it was owned by John.

For 9 mil they should have Daisy drive it to your door!

So how much is a stock 69 Charger worth? Just curious.

Its almost at 10 MILLION!!!! I wonder if the high bidder will actually pay or are they just getting in on the bidding for fun??

I guess they must be legit because they have to be "pre-approved' to bid. Probably a credit check and maybe some millions of mula in the bank!
Why don't they just wait til the last minute to bid? Maybe they get approved, then the bid gets entered automatically.

AIN'T NO WAY THIS CAR IS REALLY SELLING FOR THIS. it would probably be the most expensive car EVER if it really were. what did that oldsmobile "corvette" one of a kind prototype go for at BJ? like 3.4 million? but that's in a whole different catergory from this GL clone.

some publicity stunt??? or ???

It may not be an actual Charger used in the show or movie. But since its built by John Schneider or for him. Thats about the next best thing IMO. Price is quite a bit much though.

The agent stated it's the car from the movie "Dukes go to Hollywood". It's not even an original Dukes of Hazzard car (so it appears anyway). $10 mil is WAY too high IMO. You can build one for less than 1% of this price. The only thing special you can't get anywhere else is the signatures of the cast members from the original show. They're not worth $9.9 mil.

Somebody just got ripped off :p

9.9 mil. Give me a break. There's no way this is legit. Elvis' cars at Barrett Jackson didn't bring this.

If you just wanted one of John's cars this one would be a whole lot cheaper and more comfortable to ride in!
