Hello everyone. I wasn't sure where exactly to post this so I thought I would try here... Anyway. I am having a problem that I am not sure how to fix. I have a very "bouncy" ride in my 69 SS. At first I thought it might have been the back end being up too high so I adjusted the shocks. But that wasn't it. The only other thing I can think of would be my bench seat. If the springs were bad in it would it cause this problem too? They don't really feel bad by sitting on the seat. Then again I really don't know how to tell... Any suggestions?? Its just very annoying to be driving down the road feeling like a jack in the box smile.gif Thanks your your help everyone.

Tell us more about suspension front and back. Air ride, ect. ect. I think you could figure our if it's bench seat by bouncing on it. I know on the wifes car if the air is not right on her air ride it will bounce like crazy. Add air it's fine.

The front suspension has mostly stock new parts. The springs are old and that is the only thing that hasn't been replaced in the front. In the back I have the old springs still and new KYB Gas adjust shocks. No air bags or anything. I hope this helps.

I had similar experience after I redid my front and rear suspension. I went from air shocks to KYB gas adjust and airbags and from rubber to polygraphite. I switched to CC501 springs and let some air out of the airbags to minimize the bounce. Then a month later when I switched from bench to bucket seats, the bounce effect was even more reduced. Now the ride is alot firmer. Not as smooth as I hoped it would be, but I don't get motion sickness anymore smile.gif Do you have Polygraphite bushings?

Did you tighten the bushings when the car was on the ground? If not, try loosening them and bouncing the car a bit then tightening them again. While the car is sitting on the wheels of course. I've used car ramps before to do this.
Patrick;
How do you like the air ride suspension?
