: 1970 Malibu Chevelle, what do you think?
spaceace77084 May 1st, 07, 5:33 PM What do you guys think this car is worth? What's the most someone should pay. Looks pretty nice to me. I'd say no more than $8,000.

oldtimebaseballfan May 2nd, 07, 9:39 AM No more than 8. Seems pretty decent and the seller has good feedback. If it were closer to me, I would look at it and consider buying it if it is in good shape. Seems like a good cruiser.
animal69 May 2nd, 07, 6:50 PM I bet the reserve is 15k+.

I don't think you could buy that car for 8K. There's too much junk selling for almost that amount, this car looks pretty intact. I'd say someones looking for mid teen's on this car and maybe reaching for better.
hmott May 2nd, 07, 10:37 PM 8K? More like 2x that I'd say.
70ChevelleRagtop May 3rd, 07, 1:40 PM I'm thinking somewhere north of $15k but personally, that is way more than I would be willing to pay for a Malibu, albeit that is a very sharp car!
dreis454 May 3rd, 07, 2:09 PM 10-15K easy
mr 4 speed May 3rd, 07, 2:18 PM $12-13,000 Imho
spaceace77084 May 3rd, 07, 2:39 PM I offered the seller $12,000 and he said he would need more. The car looks pretty good. The think I would be afraid of is what's under the paint.
bkcraun May 3rd, 07, 3:07 PM I sold my 70 Chevelle last fall for 13k. It was as clean a body as you will find. 51,000 documented miles. The original 307 came with the car, but I had a 350/300 motor put in. Both motors went with the sale.
This car looks as good in pictures, but as well all know, pictures always look good.
Rainer May 3rd, 07, 4:01 PM Nice car - here's one even nicer - factory 300hp 350, buckets, console, disc brakes, etc, and only 68K miles. No, its not mine, but I wish it was....

hmott May 3rd, 07, 5:25 PM Wow, Thats a very nice car... I wonder if the colors will hurt it.
70ChevelleRagtop May 3rd, 07, 11:45 PM Wow. I'm not real hip on brown or tan but that is one sharp Malibu. I owned a 71 Malibu 350 years ago that was very close to that color combo. This car takes me back. I wouldn't complain about having that ride in my stable!
Chevy 70 SS vert May 4th, 07, 12:07 AM I would buy it for $8k. I doubt you can that's why the reserve wasn't met. I am sure its 2x that.
Brettd85 May 4th, 07, 3:15 AM Yea its more than 8k for sure. I wish he would put the vinyl top on it. I dont like seeing the trim without the top.
Junkyard Dawg May 4th, 07, 6:57 AM The blue one I'd say maybe $10k....it looks to me like an ametuer resto with overspray on the right rear quarter marker lamp, hazing in the window, I can't tell if that's a rust bubble starting to pop up just under the window....but otherwise a nice driver.
The brown one....I could see paying $16-$20 for it.....not too fond of the fire extinguisher mounted on the trunk lid, the chrome marker lamp bezels in the rear quarters.....or the tacky chrome gauges on the console/above the heater controls...also looks like the driver door armrest is crooked and the shoulder belts are black and not saddle like the rest of the interior is...very nice car I must say.
SCOOTEROO May 5th, 07, 1:34 AM what is my car worth? 1970SS clone 327
Junkyard Dawg May 5th, 07, 1:55 AM Need more info
TD's68btrnut May 5th, 07, 7:02 PM I thought at least 12 also. It looks clean and if the paperwork is orig. then at least 12. If you really have to have it then maybe 14 isn't out of the question. If I was in the market, and I really liked it, I might stretch to 14. I know when I bought mine, they are really hard to find in nice shape for anywhere under 8 and usually alot more.
