Anyone have problems with these pumps besides me. I have had to replace two in the past five years. Holley has replaced both, but it's not a good thing if you break down and don't happen to have your spare pump with you. Oh Well.

I had one that was not up to par. I replaced it and have ran the replacement for about 7 years. One thing I don't like is the holes in the ring that the vains spin on do not line up with the in and out on the body. The first pump only had half the in and out size it should have had.

Those pumps aren`t worth the money or the hassle. They are noisy and have a history of failing frequently and without warning.

Put a good mechanical pump on it and be done with it.
The big Carter 172 gph pump will more than likely be all you will ever need.

I also had 2 fail in 2 years. I replaced it with another brand, and all is well.

When this one fails, which it will, I think I will go back to a mechanical, probably Holley, I had bad luck with the carters. i don't run NO3 at the moment so no need for an electric.

I've had pretty good luck with the Mallory Comp pumps (electric). I did have a Comp 110 fail, but it was warrantied and replaced. It had about 30,000+ miles on it. They are also considerably quieter than the Holley Blue. I have gotten good life out of the Holley Blue in primarily race applications. Rebuild kits are available for the Holley.

I've also heard some bad things about blue pumps but mine hasn't failed yet ...and it is VERY quiet thanks to my return line :D I think that might be taking a lot of extra strain off the pump and making it live as long as it has. However its starting to become a restriction for my motor so just as soon as I can afford it the blue pump is going byebye.

Now I go out there this AM, and of course a fitting is leaking at the pump. Think I'll just get rid of the wagon and get a PT Cruiser.

I Just went out Again and looked, now that there is more Light. It is not the fitting I put on, it's the new Pump Leaking. Around the base Where it was cast. The area where the hex is for your wrench, it is leaking right there. You can see the defect, brand new pump, I got this under warranty, from another bad pump. It has been on the shelf in the box for about 2 years. I think I am going crazy!

Solved Holley blue problems.
Warranty covered this pump again.
But I got a Carter electric this time, and it is extremly quiet copared to the blue thing.
Ii am happy so far.
