I need to replace the horn on my daily driver and want something louder (w/o going to air horns).

A 12v horn is a 12v horn, right? Can I just swap it with any other from the parts store and not encounter any electical issues?

Depends. How much louder is the new horn going to be? A louder horn will pull more power. The average car horn will be no problem, unless you are looking at something thats really loud.
