For those that dont know. The 64-67 chevelle floor pans are for 68-72 El camino. Just figured that out this spring. Chevelle floor pans are short at the back. The 64-67 floor pans i purchased are exact fit for my 71 el camnio.

I've posted this same thing here a couple of times. Guess how I found out. The parts suppliers certainly don't seem to know.

Ditto..... I got's me some older pans in mine. Keith tiped me off to get the older style. Other than the strip missing down the center, they fit ok.

so let me get this straight, I order the floor pan for a 67 2 door, and it will fit the 68 el camino? How far back? thanks JIm

I was at a big chevy parts place and was looking at the 68-72 chevelle floorpan for my 71 el camino knowing that they are short, went back a day later and it was gone. Looked over at a 64-67 chevelle floor pan and it looked like my 71 el camino floor pan. Got out the tape measure and Bingo thats the floor pan for my 71 el camino. Know one at the store knew that the 64-67 chelle pan fit the 71 el camino. This was at a nationally known classic chevy parts store too. Bought both pans for the chevelle and installed them with no fitment issues.

So any guesses about the 67 ElCamino? what floorpan can I use to rebuild the rear (behind the seat) floor?

You could get a patch piece, or get a full length pan for 64-67 camino.
