I started to fit my passenger side Dynacorn full quarter on my 1970 Elcamino tonight. I must say I'm not real impressed. First off the part of the quarter that is the corner of the back window is totally wrong and cannot be used, I actually cut the sail panel off. Next the wheel opening is wrong. My car has the original outer wheel houses on it and at the lower rear there is a 1 inch gap while the rest fits tight. The wheel well lip is too narrow and dosen't even cover the inner wheelhouse. The panel had no dings but could be a little less wavy gonna need a lot of blocking. One thing is for sure I'm gonna have to spend a lot of time notching and dinging and so forth to get it to fit even halfway right. One positive is that the sheetmetal seems to be of original (or close) gauge. I guess if I had it to do over I would save longer and buy GM quarters. Oh well I done cut it so it's mine now. I think they need to include the correct corner for the back window because many people have rust issues. Just thought I'd post a little feedback. Later

Post some pics if you could. I was looking at getting one of those panels. I heard from another person that the fit was excellent. Very strange.
Does it fit the sail panel at all or is it way off?

The corner of the rear window is not even close. In fact the corner has the opposite shape it pokes out instead of having the inside radius you need for the corner of the window. I would say that maybe if I had replaced the outer wheelhouse it might have fit better but my original was excellent. It just fits very very tight. Even in the door jamb I'm gonn have to pull it tight with self tappers. I have hung 5 full quarters and probably 8 skins in the past so I have an idea of what I am doing. I'll put some pics up to show what I'm talking about.

I just put a repop SS hood on my '66 Chevelle. What a piece of crap that hood is! The lines weren't as crisp as original, the metal is a lot thinner gauge than originals, the hood corners are a lot more rounded than they should be and when all of the rest of the front end sheet metal is correctly hung and gapped, the hood is about a 1/4" too long. My body guy, who is a WyoTech graduate, has almost 20 hours in the hood alone, fixing what is wrong with it from the manufacturer. He is grinding off the back edge of the hood and welding a bead and grinding on that to make it fit correctly. He says to never bring him crap like that again and says he will NEVER use Goodmark/Dynacorn crap again. I would have been money ahead to pay asking price on an original SS hood and having it reworked. I will do what ever I have to do in the future to avoid this repop Taewanese crap! What does this make someone think about the quality of the new '69 Camaro cars being reproduced. Make a great product or don't make it at all!

I guess you haven't seen Chop Cut Rebuild on Tv. They spent lots of hours just trying to get the gaps set right. Even on Musclecar, the caked the doors with filler just to get the gaps perfect. I don't think thats the right way to do it though.

I have two full 70 El Camino quarters purchased from Kenny Ross Chevrolet in 1982, In todays market what would they be worth?

Elcamino quarters can still be had for $5-800 each for NOS ones. I probably should have went that route.
Dave
BTW what did you pay about $150 each? That's 1982 dollars though.

It's hard to see the gap at the bottom of the wheel well and the ones in the door jamb. I am not a great photographer. Also back at the taillight the fit is not fantastic. I also monkied around with the sail panel and got it welded in

Virtually no warpage and the vinyl top will cover 98% of it.

thanks for the pics..... Does that sail panel wrap all the way around to the window in the back?
Also, looks like the door gaps are good....
