I am looking very seriously at buying a 65 chevelle convert. there is not one locally, yet, so I haven't been able to sit in one. I am 6'5". can anyone tell me if there will be enough leg room to be comfortable?

Thanks.

Im 6'1" with long legs and fit in perfectly. I couldnt ask for a better fit.

Also, one thing to remember is that it is pretty easy to completely relocate the seat. So if it doesnt fit right, just move the seat back...might make for a tight fit for someone behind you.

I'm 6'4" and have a 65 convertibe and have plenty of leg room. I have an electric drivers bucket seat and tend to drive it all the way back and there is a lot of room left in the back seat for passengers. I also have a 71 bench seat convert and I don't think it has near the leg/head room the 65 does. I'd buy it, I'm sure you'll fit! :beers:

I know I typically come up on the cheap side of the price range and I'm sure others will tell me so but 25k seems high for that car. Looks really nice with but seems more of a driver than others that I've seen. I don't pretend to know the 60's Chevelles but the paint gouges and the wiring harness connections under the dash and in the engine compartment kinda bother me and could be a sign of other "short cut" type flaws.

Anyone else?

Hey Elipp, are you from Los Angeles or Louisiana? That can make a difference in what you get/pay for your car. Out here in California, cars are starting to go for that amount. Just look through www.collectorcartraderonline.com (http://www.collectorcartraderonline.com) in the california region and the prices are up there.

I am in los angeles, and I cant find a better deal than this one, and I've been looking for months. Even across the country on traderonline there seems to be few deals. there is a similar 65 ss clone on traderonline now that is about $10k more.

Also, have you tried going to different car shows and meets? THe big Pomona meet will have many cars, the So Cal Chevelle and Camino club has meets and cars for sale. There are many other shows as well. The prices wont be any cheaper but you will at least be able to look at many different cars.

It's a nice car, but in my opinion it isn't a $25k nice car.
