I recently replaced my stock buckets with custom upholstered Flofits. I was going to hang onto the stock seats but bumped into a guy today who really needs them and I'm curious about their value. Hard to put a price tag on them since you can't buy them complete, only piecemeal from the various Chevelle aftermarket houses, and I'm interested in the opinions here.

They're black vinyl stockers, no headrests. These seats are pristine and 100% complete, no rips/tears/blemishes. All pieces are there, emblems, lower seat trim, chrome piping, metal stamped setbacks, mounting brackets w/ slider mechanism and knobs, the works. These would go right into any black interior with zero reconditioning.

Don't have pictures, so assuming my description is legit what are these worth?

Thanks for the help.

Just to give you a idea, I paid $250 for a pair that needed redone. I think 66 is one year only. steel backs with no latch. I could be wrong. I got a great deal on having them redone. (my part time job, supervisor owns a upholstery shop) so Ive got 506 dollars into them and I still need the chrome piping, Jim

IMO $200 for good cores, $500 for good used, to $1200 for survivor, mint.

I have seen original pristine buckets not needing anything and ready for a show car go for $1,500 a pair. I probably wouldn't take a dime less than $1,250

Thanks for the feedback. The seats were in the car when I bought it 6 yrs ago but I have to believe they were probably recovered sometime in the car's life, I don't have the full ownership history. But the foam, springs, frames, even the burlap between the seat bottom foam and springs are all there. I replaced the chrome piping with repop mat'l because some was missing when I bought it.

They don't look like just-recovered seats with new foam would as far as taughtness goes, but pretty darn close and I'm very particular. They were in the car when it was shot for a magazine feature 3 yrs ago, and I got many compliments on them. I only changed them because I went pro-touring style with the build and those weren't up to the capabilities of the car, with no bolsters and all vinyl. New ones are vinyl outers with suede inserts and stitched to look like the stock seats, emblems, chrome piping, and all.

Those figures are about what I figured, thanks again.

rbwjr325 - - I'm in SE Mich but my car's pretty much done. I actually have a big bunch of my own parts that will probably go to the next swap meet.
