I'd actually welded in all the plumbing a month or so ago but one of the valves was problematic and took some "tweaking" to get it to seal the way it should, but today all is well, they both seal properly and I can rattle windows at will !!!:D ;) :D

I got the somewhat inexpensive Mccord brand, $225 a pair as compared to nearly $400 for some of the others. I did have to wait longer than the 5 to 10 work days to get them due to a claimed backorder for the switch. I also was a little disappointed in their customer service when one of the valves wouldn't close properly right out of the box, but once I decided to forget them and deal with it I got the issues solved and so I can now report that for the money they may be a good product, provided they last that is.

I just welded up a pair of 3" tubes with collector flanges on each end and mitered the existing 2 1/2" pipes into the side of them and bolted the cutouts at the end of the 3" so it's a straight shot to the 45* turnouts I made.

I put the switch and LED position indicator in the console to avaoid any "unauthorized" use of the cutouts.;)

Here's a few pics

Thanks !!!:beers:

I'm trying some high temp aluminum paint from the hardware store, I just brushed it on. I think it will stay on better, only time will tell.

That LED indicator is a nice touch. At first I thought "Why, he's gonna hear if they're open anyway", but it's probably good to know if they're open or closed before you crank it up. :D

Yea, it's kind of redundant, it's pretty obvious when they're open.

The thing is you can have the LED configured to come on when they're open, or on when they're closed, and also to come on when not open or closed. I chose the latter since that lets me know when they're all the way open or otherwise not closed.
