Ok guys,

got the wide band O2 installed and up, here are the initial results

Idle was 16.5 ish, i reinstalled a smaller idle air bleed and adjusted the idle mixture screws till its about 14.5-15

It looks like at wide open throttle it goes way rich like to 11 then goes up just over 12 and never peaks past 13. I assume it drops out due to the accelerator pumps then recovers.

at just off throttle it is in the 15ish range at say 1/4 throttle its in the high 11 to low 12 range.

What do the guru's think. I plan to take it to the track tomorrow wish me luck.......

What system do you have? Innovate LM-1 or similar?

its just temped in I borrowed a Daytona Sensors Wega II with 5 wire Bosch.

its has data logging but i havent got the rpm input to work correctly yet. Just hooked it up a couple hours ago.

I want a innovate LM1 with rpm module.

to lean for perf cam, fatten it up to mid-13, see if it idles better

That's right, and it needs to be rich on the pump because mix distribution is poor at low RPM, heavy throttle. there will be lean cylinders and you don't need them detonationg.

15ish, too lean but fattening up the idle will help there. the 1/4 throttle number, was that after the pump shot wore off? too rich, doesn't agree with the other numbers.

thanks TOm,

You right on the last part the part throttle does wear off and ends up back in the 13 ish range.

Shawn

So i should be good for some wide open track passes if nothing else?

Be a little careful at idle. Sometimes with big cams it might show a bit of a false lean. If it is idling smooth at "14:1" indicated, I'd leave it alone. I'd tune a bit by "ear" at idle.

agreed. Give it what it wants, don't get hung up on numbers.
