Awhile back, Doug F. from Holley posted a reply about fuel return lines. He said that you need to dump the return fuel in at the top of the tank. I have a sumped stock fuel tank and plumbed the send and return from the two ports on the sump. Is this a bad thing? I just never saw a reason why. Is it fuel temperature issues?
If anyone, or Doug, could jump in with a reason that would be great!
Thanks,
Bill

I've heard of people doing it with no problems. The reason not to would be the minimal pressure created by the volume of fuel in the tank on the return line.
I guess I wouldn't worry about it much.

Thanks Doug!
I'll go back to worrying about other things.
BTW, should I be looking at upgrading my Stealth Ram to a wide band (I think) O2 sensor? What are the advantages and any idea as to cost?
Thanks,
Bill

Bill,
I used a tank from a Grand National and although the return line went into the top of the tank, the tube extended down almost to the bottom of the tank which would generate the same resistance. I wouldn't worry as much about the location as I would about the line size.
