I just got a '67 I-6, and I'm trying to clean up the old paint job, so that I can drive it until I can afford a new paint job. I keep finding these yellow buildups, and can remove them with my nails, but they leave a gray spot underneath that I cannot remove, if you know how I could get it off, it'd be great!!!

sounds like tree sap. if it is the paint will be deteriorated under each spot.

Is there any way to buff it off, or do I need paint? (I'm going to paint anyways, but don't have money yet)

You can get the tree sap off with solvents. Careful, solvents can take your paint off too. Try some gas on a rag first.

Gas? I never thought of that. I'll give it a try when I get some spare time, It'd be nice to get rid of that stuff.
