On factory #781 heads, what is the stock intake and exhaust valve size? I thought it was 2.19 intake, and 1.88 exhaust. Is this correct? Also what is the Head CC?

No. 2.06 and 1.72 was factory size. Same with 049 heads

I have checked a couple of 781's and they cc'ed around 120 -122cc.

I think Mortec shows a 118cc for the "781" heads.

most of the guys here have upgraded abd installed the larger valves into their "781" stock heads and that is why you see that valve size with those heads mentioned so often. I have done this to my "781" heads also. The more air, the more fuel, the more HP graemlins/thumbsup.gif

i have heard of some 781's having as large as 125cc comb chambers. mine were milled 30 and they were still 116cc, not sure what they were before they were milled.

My 049's (same as 781's) where flat milled .040" to give a chamber size of 113cc.

I cc'd a set at 117cc. It didn't look like they had been milled, but they might have. They also had the 2.19/1.88 valves installed, moderate porting and a radiused valve job, so they had been worked on quite a bit, so they very well might have been milled some.
