I ordered a 4" fiberglass from summit for the 71' and it will be here tomorrow. I bought 4 nice new pins and have everything ready. I've heard just about everywhere its good to use an extra 2, total of 6. The 2 extra's being in the back on the sides of the scoop. I love the way pins look but 6 seems like to much stuff going on. What if the 2 pins in the back corners are moved in a little bit towards the scoop? Seems like it would seal really well that way.... Might look good?

I bought that same hood for my 68, i havent put it on yet, but I have plans to use 4 pins total. 2 lockin pins in front, 2 normal ones in rear, I was thinkin about putting the 2 rear ones closer in towards the cowl part of the hood. This seems like it would help hold it down a whole lot better, plus at least on my car, it would be more conveniant of a place to locate them.
If you can, when you do mount the hood, let us know how you set it up, and any pictures if possible.... thanks graemlins/beers.gif

I used to have my Un******* hood pinned down at all 4 corners, granted it was a stock looking cowl, not like the 4" I have now,but it stayed put, didnt move around.
