The race car I help with has a starter button on the firewall left and right to bump the eng for valve lash purposes how would I be able to do this on my Chevelle what wires? thanks, Mike

What I did was cut the purple wire that runs along the firewall and down to the starter and splice in one of those studded terminals (power feed commonly found behind the battery on the radiator support). Mount this terminal on the firewall near the heater core cover.
I jump my starter button from that terminal to + on the battery.
I hope that explains it clearly...

Thanks Bill my starter is only wired with hot to "s" terminal on the solinoid I'll have to figure out how wires got moved around and where they are. The eng compartment was rewired by someone trying to clean up the look. The purple wire sounds like a good place to look unless I lost a wire during this last R&R.
