Well.. I have a guy that wants to buy a 1972, and just can't seem to find one (Don't know how, theres quite a few of them around). Well I have mine, it's been torn apart for a good 2 years now, and between work, school, and all the other things I have in my life, I'm just too busy to get much time to work on it. It's a shame that she has to sit in the garage torn apart. I'm considering seeing if he would like to buy it. I haven't a clue what it's worth though... Here's what it is and how it sits.
72, Malibu, original numbers matching 350 2bbl, drove it home but could use a rebuild
Currently interior out, still have it all but carpet needs replaced and front seat cover
Hood is in primer, deck lid is in great shape with minor rust on the underside, left door great shape, right needs doorskin
Windshield was broken, but all other glass is good, trim is in decent condition, bumpers are pretty good
Currently I have the new rocker, outer wheelhouse, trunk drop off, and quarter put onto the driver side, quality job (I'm a body man)
Passenger side has the rocker/dropoff/wheelhouse/quarter cut out right now, haven't gotten it replaced yet
Now here's the kicker, I have pretty much every piece of sheet metal needed to complete this car. All quality goodmark panels - brand new fenders, the quarters, outer wheelhouses, drop offs, rockers, door skin, radiator support, rad. support cover panel, probably some other stuff I can't think of right now. Anyway I spent around $2k at cost for all of this stuff... probably at least 3k retail.
How much am I looking at for a worth? All parts will go with the car. I think I will most likely go ahead and finish replacing the rocker/drop off/wheelhouse/quarter on the passenger side before selling as well, just because I don't want to shift the car aroudn without them on and warp/twist anything. Thoughts with and without finishing the install? Thanks fellas
