I'm sure i'm not the only one who's wondering what can be used to clean the residue left from a windshield install. I believe mine was the original windshield since it looked like a flat stip of butyl was there all around and it comes up in small strips.
Any tips?

Scrape it out and clean with prepsol. If you get a ball of butyl use it to pull up what is left on the pinchweld, it'll stick to itself.

Careful, you don't want to scratch the paint to the metal or you will need to repaint that area.

I was thinking about POR-15ing it maybe since it's easy to do right there. Any problems I could run into? I've used POR-15 and already have it. I plan on it being totally clean before-hand.
