My roller cam is the zz502 cam.The book says to run the "melonized" gear which I did.Now my timing marks with the lite on them seems to run backwards :confused: The advanced marks seem to be on the drivers side of the 0 line :confused: Is that because of the gear?

The advanced marks will be on the drivers side of the "0" on the balancer. Are you speaking of the balancer marks or the timing covers? The gear won't change things.
