I just picked up what I thought was a 68-72 bench seat for my 69 SS396 elky
after some additional reserch, I realize now that this bench seat is out of a 73-77 chevelle/el camino.
The difference in the seats are slight, but I am not sure that I can use 69 upolstery on this seat. The 73-77 seat has a 3-4 inch gap between the back rests, also the head rest's are offset(I think this is to mount the clips that secure the shoulder straps).
When I measured the bolt pattern where the seat attaches to the floor, it is the same as my friends 70 elky, so I think it should bolt in fine. Just don't know if the upper part of the frame and seat foam will work with correct 69 covers. Does any body have any input?
