Well we scrambled to get all of the parts we broke last week with the bumper draging launch, fixed. We put her back together and hit the track again. We ran a 5.50 @ 110 in first gear, damn tranny didn't go into second. We think it's the linkage so we'll play with it today, and try to get a full pass tonight.

Video of the full pass must be posted here, biotch. ;) As soon as we can get a full pass we'll get her posted up. Our cool guy camera man wasn't there last night, he might be around tonight. We had a couple other passes that didn't go great. The first pass the diver was a little concerned about repeating the big wheelie he pulled last week end and didn't launch on the gas 5.72 @ 116, second pass, the car pulled the wheels and the driver got out of the throttle, then back in it and it pulled the wheels again. He finally got her moving and it wouldn't go to second 5.74 @ 93, then of course the last pass was the 5.50 with a 1.37 on drag radials. If we can get the tranny/suspension lined out, we'll start moving up on the nitrous. ;)

Shannon, You sparked my interest. I checked your web site and see that the camaro has a procharged 540. Very cool :D Thats very similar to my current build up. My question is, once you get the bugs worked out are you going outlaw racing?

Rob Hey Rob.. The motor doesn't have the charger on it right now. We are tuning the chassis with a small shot of nitrous. It's really violent as hell right now. I couldn't imagine with 1000 more hp. We went back to the track again yesterday for some more tuning and things got ugly quick. First rattle out the box the car stood up on the back bumper and totally unloaded the chassis. The back wheels had @ 6" of air under them, still managing a 1.43 60ft. Needless to say we will be down for a while to fix it. Car needs new:

K-member
Oil Pan
Tranny Pan
Steering Rack
Headers

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the crash landing :( . It sounds like your building a Limited Street Car or a drag radial. Can you fill me in?

TIA, Rob

It's more of a drag radial car. Down here everyone is big in to racing street cars. We have alot of local tracks that actually put on races like "Real Street" or "True Street". The True street has alot more restrictions like no drag radials and exhaust must be full length, etc. I wanted to do something that I could cruise on the street and still win the street car classes. We knew that we could take a big cube low compression BBC with EFI and a power adder, be fast, then put pump gas in it and go cruise the streets. Looks like it's going to be pretty competitive, if we can keep from breaking it in half.

95' Camaro stock style suspension
540" 10.5:1 Shafiroff w/ FAST EFI 83# injectors
275 shot on a NOS Big Shot Plate
Dedenbear P/G
9" Spool w/ 35 spline
315/60 BFG Drag Radials

I plan to get some Real low 5's on the motor then sell it to purchase a big bore, short stroke combo for the F3.
