I have a 71 Chevelle and I bought a pair of original front parking lights/turn signal lenses at Carlisle that have a small amount of enamel overspray on them. What's the best way to remove it safely without damaging the lens? They're in terrific shape and are worth saving. Thanks!

agreed. awesome stuff. can't go wrong. I have used both Meguires and Mothers, and IMO the Meguires is better. Make sure to use the spray detailer with it.

If you have a buffing wheel (foam pad) and some compound it will remove the overspray. The lense will look brand spankin new!

The best way to remove overspray from anything, is a claybar. Mother's, and Meguiar's both make a kits, with the clay bar and detailer for removing overspray from the car paint, plastic, glass, or any other part of the car.

I'm afraid that any solvent that will melt the paint will damage the lens also. You can polish the lens with rubbing compound, maybe just start with that on a rag and see if you can get it off.

Red rubbing compound on a buffer wheel works great. I've done it lots of times. Have to be careful to secure the lens real good or the buffer pad will send it flying. If the lens has a ripple type surface it is a little harder but it can be done and they come out very nice.

Hey guys! Thanks for the info. Sorry for the repetitive posts- computer glitches here!
I tried some 1500 compound and it took all the overspray off! They look like new. I would have tried the other suggestions but I only had the compound available and it worked well! Thanks again!

Mothers Mag Wheel Polish does an excellent job on plastic. Follow up with plastic detailer or polish
