Hey guys I am trying to make a new return line fitting for my gas tank because I had the old one epoxied in and it failed after a year. I was wondering if I could solder a brass fitting to my gas tank. If so what type of solder do I need and where can I buy it?

thanks
Tom

Yeah, you can solder brass to steel no problem, some 30/70 or 80/20 solder will work just fine. The filler tubes were soldered in from the factory so don't be afraid to solder that little fuel line-just take the sending unit wire out or you'll melt the insulator. Or you can weld or solder a rear sump on the bottom of the tank and run your fuel line out the back-make sure you clean any gasoline completely out.
